Defiant Nancy does not fear dismissal yet the Parkhead faithful unleash anger after loss.
The under-pressure manager declared he had no concerns about the sack, claiming, “We are extremely close to things turning around,” despite edging perilously close to the exit with a convincing loss to their arch-rivals.
Another Capitulation Sees Old Firm Loss
Celtic were in front the visitors at the break but a second-half capitulation let Danny Röhl’s team to draw level on points with the reigning league title holders. The French coach, who was hired from the MLS, has now presided over six setbacks in his last eight fixtures.

“It’s the results [that leads to pressure]. And that’s the truth for the moment. However by saying that’s how it is, that is not a sign that I am pessimistic. Absolutely not. My point is we are really close, extremely close to reverse our form.”

Nancy remains focused on the fact the side show good levels for 45 minutes at a time. Indeed, but for poor finishing they might have been greater than 1-0 up. “I saw enough aside from the fact that we didn't take a second goal,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but I have also to be objective.
“The performance we had at times was of top quality. This is the reality. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was different. But that’s why, regarding outcomes, I said it's a repeating pattern. For that reason I believe we are really close to a shift in fortunes. Right now: small things.”
“We produced many, many good things that we did, once more. But now it’s about sustaining it. My narrative would change if it was not the case. That’s why I am convinced we’re going to be able to fix this.”
The Rangers Boss Outlook
Rangers manager was cautious about a championship push even after what felt like a huge result. “One match at a time, then we can really build up a challenge,” he said. “The confidence in the team is excellent.”
