Devoted fans of the actress are urging that a person who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage depicts the Australian man pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was set to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of supporters had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the second of a dual adaptation of the well-known stage production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting witches.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, winning two for best costume and artistic direction.
