Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland before the international break, but can the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Family Life

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend football team," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly tight, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole away victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously Forest coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

A family member told me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have got plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.

But I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
